Prof. Golam Azam

Professor Golam Azam (1922-2014) was a key political and Islamic figure in Bangladesh, known for his leadership and intellectual prowess.

A prominent advocate for the Bengali language during the 1952 movement, he also served as the General Secretary of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union.

Golam Azam played a pivotal role in the Islamic movement’s rise in Bangladesh, facing significant persecution yet maintaining high moral standards. His seven-volume book, Jibone Ja Dekhlam, provides a comprehensive account of Bangladesh’s political struggles.
